If you make fat jokes about Adele, you’re being a dick, and I’m referring to you, Joan Rivers. Seth Macfarlane started it at the Oscars, but then after the Oscars, Joan Rivers tweeted, quote, ‘You could easily pick Adele’s statuette out of a line up because it was the only one wearing Spanx.’ Then, she went on The Letterman Show and made a whole bunch of awful jokes, and included her saying, ‘I’ve met Adele’, and then she went, [puffs face/body out].
FUCK YOU.
How dare you make fun of one of the best female role models on the planet for the way she looks. Adele is one of the very few women in pop music that I want my daughter to look up to, and you’re making jokes about the way she looks, when you’re so insecure about your own face you’ve spent more money on it than the producers of Life of Pi spent on that tiger!
I’ve met Adele and she was lovely - and hot. You, Joan Rivers, have become a jaded, bitter old mole. Get a plastic surgeon to manufacture yourself a new soul. Stop being an enormous, hypocritical, insensitive DICK.
When my daughter first showed signs of hating herself, I got out photoshop. We went and found an image of her choosing, of a woman. I spent the next two hours showing her just how easy it was to alter this woman. I changed her hair, whitened her teeth, made her thinner. I erased her blemishes and even made her taller while my daughter sat there aghast. At the end of it she loudly said - ” THAT’S NOT FAIR!”
I told her that damn near every image she saw of people in magazines, on television, etc, was altered like this, and that she should never compare herself to that, because even supermodels don’t look like supermodels.
I wish I could do that for every child. I wish it was a mandatory class in school.

This is my little sister, she’s going through a hard time right now. She’s being bullied and she told me today that she hates herself and that she might as well end it all. She’s so consumed in it and I can’t see her like this anymore. I told her I’d put these pictures up here and show her that she really is beautiful no matter what these horrible kids say. She’s fucking 12. It tears me apart. Will you please show her that those kids are wrong and that she is beautiful and she’s worth something. I can’t lose her. She’s my best friend.
